Our child-friendly indoor and outdoor space has been thoughtfully designed to meet preschoolers' evolving interests, abilities, and needs within a safe residential home. We have three classrooms and a bathroom all on the same level, with an exit/entrance to our fenced playground area.
Our play-based learning model allows for children to engage in hands-on discovery and exploration to foster a love of learning, and to connect experiences to real-world living. Activities are planned with developmental goals in mind while teachers guide, facilitate, encourage and mentor children's participation, interaction and developmental growth in cognitive, receptive & expressive language, fine & gross motor, social-emotional, and self-help skills. We make it our goal to develop a trusting, loving relationship with each child so that we can nurture all aspects of growth and development. Our group of 12 children to 2 teachers allows us to encourage individual growth, as well as a happy, healthy community! We really get to know and love your munchkins! We enjoy our days together, look forward to what each new day brings, and how each day unfolds!
Children have plentiful opportunities to engage the mind, body and spirit in fun and exciting ways! We enjoy Art, Science, Nature, Sensory, Literacy/Math, Snack & Story in the Sunshine Room ~Blocks, Dramatic Play and Fine Motor & Loose Parts Play in the Noodle Room ~Carpet Time, Music & Movement & Story in the Garden Room ~Outdoor Playground Time, and Lunch Time with Friends (parent provides child's lunch).
Families interested in PTYCP will be offered an appointment to personally tour the preschool program with the Provider/Preschool Teacher. We encourage families to observe, ask questions, and allow your child to explore and engage with others and materials. We practice a "shoes-off" policy when indoors. Please be prepared to wear socks.
An enrollment deposit, 50% of your child's monthly tuition, along with an Enrollment Agreement Form, is required to reserve a space for the year. The deposit will be applied to the final tuition payment when aging-out of the program, or may be rolled over for the following year if continuing with services.
Families will receive PTYCP's Parent Handbook outlining programming policies, practices and procedures, an Enrollment Packet, and a NYS OCFS Medical Form. Children are required to have a current physical with up-to-date immunizations. All forms must be submitted in a timely fashion to be reviewed by the provider in order for your child to begin programming. Any delays in receiving information will delay your child's start date, as these forms are mandated by OCFS.
